2020 SGP LINE-UP.

Former FIM Speedway Grand Prix world champions Greg Hancock and Tai Woffinden are back for 2020 after the SGP Commission confirmed next year’s four permanent wild cards.

Two men with seven world titles between them are joined by Russian racer Artem Laguta and Swedish star Antonio Lindback in receiving invites to compete in the SGP World Championship.

ZMARZLIK: FIM SPEEDWAY GP WORLD CHAMPION!

Polish hero Bartosz Zmarzlik revealed he was tipped for the top by Tomasz Gollob a decade ago after following in his mentor’s tyre treads to become Poland’s third FIM Speedway Grand Prix world champion.
Zmarzlik made history when he reached the Revline Torun SGP of Poland final with 14 points to follow 1973 World Final winner Jerzy Szczakiel and 2010 SGP champion Tomasz Gollob into Polish speedway’s most exclusive club.

2019 European Under21 Team Speedway Championship - Final: Poland wins the title.

After the cancellation of the meeting in Macon on 20th July, the European Under21 Team Speedway Championship Final meeting was race on 28th September in Lamothe Landerron, France.

Final 4 for the Individual Speedway Euro Championship on 28th September in Chorzow, Poland.
Home hero Paweł Przedpełski impressed the crowd with a phenomenal start, which gave him three heat wins. Grigorii Laguta started this meeting from “zero”, but three heat wins let the Russian rider go through to the race-off, where he was third. In case of Mikkel Michelsen's win in the final, title would be decided in an additional heat: that’s exactly what happened. Michelsen came as first, having Madsen and Przedpełski behind his back. Next to an additional heat for gold, fans witnessed another one for bronze, where Kacper Woryna faced Leon Madsen.

Dimitri Bergé is the new FIM Long Track World Champion after a dramatic finish to the season in Roden. He triggered great celebrations in the French camp as he sealed his title by winning the second semi-final to erase the memories of his disastrous capitulation in the final meeting last year.

FIM LONG TRACK SHOWDOWN IN RODEN!

The 2019 FIM Long Track World Championship reaches its climax as the final round takes place in Roden on Sunday when the new champion will be crowned. With only one point separating the top two riders Dmitri Berge and Martin Smolinski the gold medal will almost certainly land with one of them as Mathieu Trésarrieu is unlikely to be able to recover the 13 point difference that stands between him and Berge.

U21 SPEEDWAY – GÜSTROW REPORT!

Dominik Kubera holds a one point lead at the top of the intermediate Classification for the Fogo FIM Speedway Under 21 World Championship after winning the second round in Gustrow on Saturday. Taking advantage of and error by Maksim Drabik in the final he surged past his fellow countryman and held on to take a well deserved win.

In Ufa, reconstruction of the Stroitel stadium with a hotel and parking requires 2.6 billion rubles!

he cost of a complete reconstruction of the Ufa stadium "Builder" may cost 1.7 billion rubles. Another 900 million is required for the construction of a five-story parking lot for 1300 parking spaces and a hotel with 300 rooms. Today, the project of reconstruction of the stadium was reviewed by the acting head of Bashkortostan Radiy Khabirov. The Stroitel Stadium was one of the world's leading centers for motorcycle ice racing competitions. It was commissioned in 1959. For 60 years it’s already outdated, the structures have become unusable, so the reconstruction involves almost complete reconstruction of the stadium.

2019 European U21 Individual Speedway Championship: the Final in Ukraina.

Polish rider Wiktor Lampart is the new champion of the European U21 Individual Speedway Championship. The final race took place in Rivne, Ukraina, on 31st August.
Silver medal for the Russian Roman Lachbaum and third step of the podium for Mads Hansen from Denmark.

2019 European Pairs Speedway Championship: the Final in Russia.

Amazing final for the European Pairs Speedway Championship on 29th August in Balakovo in front of over 10.000 spectators. For the first time in sixteen years the race took place in Russia.
The host nation confirmed the role of favorite and in the line-up Viktor Kulakov, Grigorii Laguta and Vladimir Borodulin won the title for the first time in history. Second place for Czech Republic and third for Latvia.

According to preliminary information from the PZM Individual European  Ice Racing Championship, it can take place on the ice arena in the Polish city of Tomaszów Mazowiecki  on March 21-22, 2020.

FIM Long Track World Championship – Challenge

It was a good day for the Germans in Scheessel on Sunday as they delighted the home fans by taking the first two places in the FIM Long Track World Championship Challenge. In perfect track conditions at the Eichenring they shook off the disappointments of their recent European Championship disaster as Stephan Katt stormed to a win in the final. Veteran Berndt Diener finished fourth in the last race but claimed second place overall with a higher points total.  Josef Franc was in third place with Jesse Mustonen fourth despite two disqualifications and all will have a permanent place in next year’s series next year’s series.

KING AND HARRIS COMPLETE CARDIFF LINE-UP!

Two former British champions complete the Adrian Flux British FIM Speedway Grand Prix field as Danny King and Chris Harris line up as track reserves in Cardiff on September 21.

2019 Individual Speedway Euro Championship: Final 3.

Mikkel Michelsen won the third round of the Individual Speedway Euro Championship, which was held in Vojens, Denmark. Kacper Woryna was the runner-up and the last spot on the podium was taken by Nicki Pedersen.

2019 European U19 Individual Speedway Cup: the Final.

The city of Zarnovica, in Slovakia, hosted the final of the European U19 Individual Speedway Cup, which was held in front of around 2000 spectators.
Nice weather and a sunny day welcomed the 18 riders in fight for the title.
At the end of a thrilling competition and a hard-fought battle, Jan Kvech (from Czech Republic) won in front Evgenij Saidullin and Mads Hansen.

2019 European 85cc Youth Speedway Cup - Final.

The meeting was held on a cloudy Saturday following all night rain. Organizers did a great job and prepared an excellent track for the race, enjoyed by approximately 300 spectators. The meeting was won by local hero Norick Blödorn to the delight of the local crowd. During the meeting spectators seen 6 crashes but none of them serious enough to require medical attention.
This meeting has proven that the 85cc category is a worthy stepping stone for the junior riders aged 12 to 15.
