REDDIE LINDGREN AND NICKI PEDERSEN HAVE BEEN DRAWN TOGETHER IN BOLL WARSAW SGP HEAT THREE AS THE PGE EKSTRALIGA’S TOP TWO DO BATTLE.
In-form Freddie Lindgren and Nicki Pedersen have been drawn together in BOLL Warsaw SGP heat three as the PGE Ekstraliga’s top two prepare for an early showdown.
Lindgren has been in the form of his life since returning from a broken vertebra over the winter, while Pedersen is also back on the gas after recovering from a similar injury of his own.
And the pair will face an early test when they meet in their opening Warsaw ride, where they are joined by American legend Greg Hancock, who is also on the comeback trail after his 2017 season was ended by a shoulder injury. Artem Laguta completes the line-up for what will be his first SGP race in seven years.
World champion Jason Doyle starts his title defence in race one against double champion Tai Woffinden, with Matej Zagar and Przemyslaw Pawlicki joining them at the tapes.
There’s a strong Polish flavour to race two, with world No.2 Patryk Dudek kicking off his season against Maciej Janowski and wild card Krzysztof Kasprzak. British champion Craig Cook also rides in what will be his first ever overseas SGP heat.
Bartosz Zmarzlik gets his SGP season started against 2012 world champion Chris Holder, Emil Sayfutdinov and Niels-Kristian Iversen in race four.
Last year’s top two Doyle and Dudek battle it out in heat 12, also featuring Holder and Laguta.
There’s also a tantalising heat 19 in store as three world champs Hancock, Woffinden and Holder all face off with Janowski joining them for what could be one of the night’s top races.
