With Monster Energy FIM Speedway World Cup Event 2 just two days away, MonsterEnergySWC.com is your guide to this year’s teams.
Today we profile hosts Sweden as they face Denmark, Russia and Latvia at Vastervik on Tuesday.

1 Freddie Lindgren (c)
The Andorra-based racer is enjoying the season of his life and already has a LOTTO Warsaw SGP victory to his name.
He’s currently stands fourth in the FIM Speedway World Championship and came close to his first Swedish Championship on Saturday, scoring a 15-point maximum in the heats, only to finish second in the final.

2 Antonio Lindback
The man who stole that Swedish Championship away from Lindback in Avesta, Lindback is surging back into form at just the right time.
Two straight FIM Speedway Grand Prix semi-final appearances in Prague and Horsens have come as a huge lift, and he’ll be out to win what would be his third FIM Speedway World Cup gold medal.

3 Andreas Jonsson
One of Swedish speedway’s leading stars for the 21st century, Jonsson’s timely return from a collarbone injury gives his country a real boost.
A nine-time SGP winner and a former world No.2, AJ finds himself outside of the FIM Speedway Grand Prix series for the first time since he debuted as a full-time member of the series in 2002. But with three SWC wins to his name, he’s still a big presence in the Swedish team.

4 Linus Sundstrom
This could be a big week for the 26-year-old as he gets a golden opportunity to underline his pedigree against world-class opposition.
His solid form for Swedish side Masarna and some useful appearances for Gorzow in the Polish Ekstraliga earn him the opportunity in Vastervik.

5 Joel Kling
One of Sweden’s brightest junior prospects, Kling is making his way in the Swedish Elitserien with Dackarna this season.
The under-21 reserve can be called into action at any time by team manager Morgan Andersson if his top four runs into trouble.
