NECK INJURY FOR NICKI.

Triple world champion Nicki Pedersen has been taken to hospital with neck injuries after a collision with SGP rival Niels- Kristian Iversen.

Triple world champion Nicki Pedersen has been taken to hospital with neck injuries after a collision with SGP rival Niels-Kristian Iversen in Holsted on Wednesday night.
According to Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet, Iversen spun on turn one, with Pedersen running into him. The 40-year-old was sent flying five or six metres in the air before landing on his neck.
Iversen is believed to have been unhurt, but Pedersen was loaded into an ambulance and taken to hospital for X-rays.
It’s unclear whether the Monaco-based man will be able to take his place in Saturday’s Rietumu Bank Latvian SGP in Daugavpils.
But his manager Helge Frimodt Pedersen told Ekstra Bladet that the rider has full feeling in his legs and arms.
He said: "Nicki has hit his neck violently, but fortunately he has full strength in his arms and legs. His neck is supported with a collar, and now he must be examined for safety."
